Continually blurring the lines of genre are Ho99o9 (pronounced like "horror," for those unaware), the duo known for their caustic mix of hip-hop, industrial, hardcore punk, and more. Since their debut in 2012, the team of theOGM and Eaddy have put out three studio albums, a handful of EPs, and collaborations with acts like N8NOFACE, 3TEETH, and The Prodigy.
Now, with a new focus on relatability and emotionally-charged music, Ho99o9 have announced their new studio album Tomorrow We Escape, set to drop on September 9th. The first taste of the new record came in the rattling "Upside Down," featuring flavors of nu metal, shoegaze, techno, and punk in a hypnotic cut. It is a departure from the more confrontational songs in their arsenal, such as "Christopher Dorner" or "Lights Out," but it is no less tightly composed or executed.
