Here's what I don't get about these COVID 'vaccine skeptics,' when is it going to happen? We all got the vaccine, shouldn't we be dead by now? I got it three times why haven't my eyeballs melted into their sockets Indiana Jones style yet? No, all that happened is COVID rates declined (total coincidence I'm sure!) and life got back to normal. Well, normal for most of us.
Former Korn bassist Fieldy has opened up his ass to talk some shit to Thatch Creative's Short-Lived Blast podcast. It has long been assumed that Fieldy had to step away from the band in order to address his drug addiction but it turns out the real reason is so much dumber. Via ThePRP:
COVID happened. That’s it. I’m like, ‘I’m not going out there.’ That’s what happened, ’cause it was new. Now. I’m like… The whole time — I mean, I didn’t get vaccinated or anything — but when you reflect on it, that’s what happened. They’re like, ‘We’re going to Florida and all this.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not going to get vaccinated.’ I’m not going. I go, ‘People, this is weird right now.’
Ohhh myyyyy goddddddddddd.
We're going to have to do this forever aren't we. These fucking people are going to keep standing up for nothing, the freedom to get sick and die in thee U.S. of A. There are no shortage of reasons not to go to Florida, not wanting to be vaccinated is one of the reasons people do go to Florida, I cannot imagine getting fired from your extremely successful band just because Fox News told you to be afraid of a vaccine. It was damn hard to defend Fieldy before this, I got nothing now. He was our genre's definitive bassist, someone who redefined what groove metal technique could sound like in a post-g-funk world. Nu metal wouldn't be what it is without him. Now he's just another one. Another cable news shut in who blew his life up for a lie. Six years ago I'd be outraged, now I'm just bored.
