Korn Return With 'Diablo IV'-Inspired New Single "Reward The Scars"

Inspired by the upcoming Blizzard ARPG, the surprise release is the first music from the nu metal legends in over four years.

Without warning, nu metal legends Korn have unleashed their brand new single, "Reward The Scars." Inspired by the upcoming Lord of Hatred DLC for Blizzard's ARPG Diablo IV, this is the first new music from the band since 2022's Requiem. With production and mixing credited to Grammy-winners Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Mastodon, Evanescence) and Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Muse, Neil Diamond), this is fans' first taste of the "heavy badass rock" the band has been working on.

While the track features bass work that certainly sounds like the work of original bassist (and noted anti-vaxxer) Fieldy (born Reginald Quincy Arvizu), neither he nor touring bassist Ra Diaz (Suicidal Tendencies, BillyBio, Ritmo Machine) are listed in the song's official credits. It's possible Raskulinecz, who got his start playing bass in Knoxville punk outfit Hypertribe, handled the four-string this time out. Whoever it was, they certainly did their homework.

The track comes just as Korn are gearing up to hit the road. This Saturday, April 25th, the band will take part in the revived Sick New World in Las Vegas as co-headliners with System of a Down. In May, the band will embark on their Latin American Are You Ready Tour with Spiritbox and Seven Hours After Violet. Starting on October, European and UK fans can catch Korn on tour with special guests Architects, Youth Code, and Pixel Grip.
