Kublai Khan TX have unleashed another headbanger titled “The Mountain of Corsicana“. This single comes almost one year to the date since their fifth studio album Exhibiton of Prowess, and the first piece of material to feature new guitarist Nick Adams (Justice for The Damned) following the departure of long time guitarist Nolan Ashley due to medical reasons.
Not only heavy in sound but also heavy in creation, as frontman Matt Honeycutt explained in a recent interview on The Down Beat podcast, the track is a dedication to his late great-uncle turned adoptive father. Honeycutt talks about their relationship growing up and the process of what it was like to make him comfortable in the later stages of his life, making this track an emotional yet very powerful single in the band's already captivating discography.
Kublai Khan TX is set to embark on a fall headline tour this month with support from Gideon, Drain, and Guilt Trip starting September 18th in Louisville, Kentucky at Louder Than Life:
