Ladrones Release Music Video for "Ay Ay Ay"

The video features the band performing in a graveyard, intercut with shots of vocalist Zyxmyr emerging from a grave while lightning strikes in the background, and members of the band appearing in Día de los Muertos-inspired skull makeup.

Guadalajara-based corrido/djent/rap-metal group Ladrones have released a music video for a new single, “Ay Ay Ay.” The video features the band performing in a graveyard, intercut with shots of vocalist Zyxmyr emerging from a grave while lightning strikes in the background, and members of the band appearing in Día de los Muertos-inspired skull makeup. Zyxmyr and co-frontman Cirujano Resendez trade verses exploring the inevitability of their own mortality, and the ways they’ve made peace with it through connections with family, friends, and the legacy they’re slowly building together. In some of the shots, the camera zooms in on rows of ornate black flags hanging in the background, in a visual callback to the cover art of the band’s breakthrough 2025 album, Mexican Pesado.

“Ay Ay Ay” is the first single from a forthcoming full-length follow-up to Mexican Pesado–the release date is unannounced as of now, but it will be the band’s first release on US-based Rise Records, after announcing the partnership in March. Ladrones is currently touring the US as part of Indian folk/nu-metal band Bloodywood’s “System of a Brown” tour, along with supporting acts The Pretty Wild and Ankor.
