Where her predecessor Chester Bennington's scream in “Given Up” became the stuff of legend upon the single's release nearly two decades ago, new Linkin Park vocalist Emily Armstrong has made her own impact with some aggressive vocal stylings. Her scream in “Heavy Is The Crown” got the rock and metal worlds talking and the comparisons to the late Bennington made, and now in the latest behind-the-scenes video highlighting the recording of LP's comeback record From Zero, we get a glimpse of what went into that process. In the clip below from LPTV, we see that co-frontman Mike Shinoda has the studio staff lower the lights in the recording booth, in order to simulate an experience like being onstage. He then encourages Armstrong to give it hell, and does she ever.
