Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to weaving heavy music into her own, as evidenced by her collaborations with Spiritbox, "TYG" and "Cobra (Rock Remix)." On her latest Tina Tuesday freestyle, though, the Houston Hottie has sampled a couple of iconic lines from one of nu metal's greatest and most furious anthems.
Her newest track "Thin Ice" is two minutes of pure lyrical ecstasy, bookended by two lines from Limp Bizkit's crashout classic "Break Stuff": "I think you better quit talkin' that shit" and "it's all about the he said, she said bullshit." What follows is an ass-shaking anthem of confidence and self-love, with Megan's swagger at maximum. References to abortion, Amanda Lepore, and Tony Montana are just a sampling of what is on offer, as Megan provides a masterclass in flow and wordplay like it's, well, another Tuesday.
Given that Fred Durst has appeared on tracks with mgk and Lauren Sanderson this year alone, this one-off could turn into a collaboration that is going to piss off your favorite music snob, and that I say simply: cope.
