New Jersey nu metal veterans 40 Below Summer are reportedly putting the finishing touches on their first studio album in nearly a decade. Recording sessions began last year, and recently, vocalist Max Illidge has finished tracking his parts. The band still needs to address some final elements, as well as the mixing and mastering stages. Although a release date has not been set, the members of 40 Below Summer have promised to release a new single before the end of summer.

In a recent Instagram update, the band shared:

“Just a heads up. Vocal tracking is finished. Comping, some simple processing and clean up are in progress. Synths, samples and sound effects to follow. Mixing in a couple of weeks. We will have a new single out this summer.
Follow the sun.“
