Our own Holiday Kirk has been doing his part to help American Head Charge frontman Cameron Heacock, documenting the process of getting him back on his feet as part of the Something Beautiful Project. This past Friday, May 1st, a milestone was reached in terms of getting the band's music onto streaming, as their 2005 album The Feeding has made it to various platforms, some two decades plus after its 2005 release.
In a statement to the fans, Heacock expressed his gratitude, saying:
It seems to me like a crime has been committed by this album not being available on streaming platforms for its entire lifespan so far. Well, thankfully no more. The bulk of this record is really the culmination of Bryan Ottoson and myself combining our song writing forces and what you hear is the result of that.
A little known fact if that after The War of Art touring cycle, I was so burnt out. I really had very nominal interest in working on a new record. If it weren't for Bryan coming over to my place on 1st Avenue literally every day, showing me riffs and the hunger in his eyes to do this was inescapable. And without that, I don't know if it would've been finished and released. And with that said, it's some of my favorite work to date, mainly because I feel like I really came into my own as a singer on this record and was able to stretch out, as it were, or spread my wings or some stupid cliche, insert here, anyway it's good stuff, and if you're unfamiliar with the material or not, from me to you, most sincerely, enjoy. - Cam

Originally released on February 15th, 2005 on DRT Entertainment/Nitrus Records, the album saw two songs featured on soundtracks, with "Loyalty" featuring in the hockey video game NHL 06 and "Cowards" featuring on the Ultimate Beatdowns Vol. 1 compilation released by UFC.
