Just days after its successor The Feeding made its debut on streaming services, American Head Charge's second LP The War Of Art is back on several DSPs. Finally, what this very publication has hailed as one of the greatest nu metal album of all time is back on digital platforms for all to enjoy.
This is thanks in no small part to our own Holiday Kirk, who has spearheaded the Something Beautiful Project to help out the band's frontman Cameron Heacock. Over the last several months, Kirk has rallied the troops of our humble Agenda to help Cam out and get him back on his feet, and part of this effort has included getting the band's work back onto digital streaming platforms (DSPs) after long absences or, in the case of the aforrmentioned Feeding, never making it there in the first place.
The War Of Art released on August 28, 2001 and was produced by maverick producer and soon-to-be Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Rick Rubin. Featuring the band's breakout single "Just So You Know," the album has sold some 250,000 copies worldwide. It's not just us who have hailed its quality, as Metal Hammer listed it among its Greatest Nu Metal Albums list in 2022.
We will let Kirk tell the full story of the Something Beautiful Project in his own time, but for now, join us in celebrating the return of The War Of Art to the digital airwaves and blast that shit for all to hear.
