On Saturday night, August 3rd, Californian nu metal legends Deftones took to the stage at Grant Park in Chicago for the second to last slot at Lollapalooza's T Mobile Stage. Coming off their Thursday night show at Chicago's The Metro, guitarist Stephen Carpenter (you might remember him from no international flights due to vaccine hesitancy/concerns about flying off the edge of the definitely-flat earth?) was again replaced in the lineup by former Will Haven and current Horseneck guitarist Lance Jackman, who is a frequent live player for the band.

According to sources close to NMA, Thursday night at the Metro was one for the ages. If you are jelly as hell and looking to check them out for yourself, Deftones will be playing with System Of A Down in San Francisco on Aug 17, and of course at Dia De Los Deftones in San Diego on November 2 (grab tickets here). While you make sense of your ticket fees, you can catch their pro-shot Lolla set below, which has now hit the internet for all to shove it to.
