Disturbed's David Draiman Calls For Unity Between Normal People And Pathetic Bigots

"Why can't everyone get along?" *signs bomb*

It's another day, so of course, it's another opportunity for the gnat IQ "above the fray" likes of Disturbed's David Draiman to weigh in with what he calls a "radical" idea concerning unity in music and a rise above political divisions.Draiman states on social media:

"Here’s a “radical” idea.

#Music should be a bridge between all people. The identity politics, partisan garbage, and division need to stop.

I challenge any organization out there to put on a festival that has #BadBunny, #KidRock and all kinds of acts from different sides of the political spectrum, sharing the same stage.

Everyone can showcase their respective cultures and backgrounds, fuse musical elements together, perform together, celebrate life together…

…PUSH BACK AGAINST THIS DARKNESS…TOGETHER.

It can be an opportunity to share, and appreciate the respective cultures that gave birth to each artist’s unique form of entertainment.

Music can unite people like nothing else in creation.

It’s beyond time we remembered that."

David Draiman, the man who has accused progressives in media and entertainment consistently of being disingenuous or anti-Semitic for being against genocide and rampant child murder, wants "partisan garbage" and "division" to end. The man who signed bombs dropped on schools, hospitals, cemeteries, and civilian infrastructure, and has supported more bombs being dropped on Gaza than were dropped in the entirety of World War II, wants people to stop being divided by their beliefs. That statement works well if you're the person or people with repugnant, vile, and extremely immoral beliefs telling everybody else to unite with you.

Kid Rock and the rest of the laughably amateur "alternative" to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance were very clear as to why they chose to "boycott" the performance. The artist performing wouldn't speak English. It would be too risqué for children. It was "woke." Some of the performers, notably Lee Brice, performed songs and gave quick speeches alluding to being disillusioned that trans people exist, that other people protest against state violence, and in full cringeworthy fashion groaned about how victimized people in the conservative movement are. It was nothing short of a participation trophy of a concert for people left in the dust bin of relevancy.

Whatever people felt about the actual Super Bowl performance by Bad Bunny, the grift or desperate attempts for the alternative to be viewed as legitimate and serious, or some spectrum of both, the fact of the matter is that statements like what Mr. Draiman provided here constantly finger wag at the oppressed for not coming to the table with the oppressors. People's contrary views on morality can't just be risen above for some surface level unity concert, unless of course, those people are entirely separated from the material reality of politics, social issues, and moral conviction.

You can't ask someone whose family was blown up by an American made bomb in Gaza to perform or enjoy a live concert experience with people who clapped, applauded, and egged on that very same slaughter. You can't expect someone who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally to "rise above" and befriend people who have called for their heads and called them groomers and pedophiles because of who they love or how they identify. It is beyond idiotic to ask members of immigrant and migrant communities to stand hand and hand with those who cheer on their brutalization, dehumanization, and murder.

Draiman can pretend he has a "radical" idea here, but what it ultimately is is the same tired, milquetoast, and pathetic platitude that disconnected people say chronically in moments of unrest, in times of disunity, in eras of vigilance in the face of cultural and economic decay. As is tradition, he claws at relevancy while proving time and time again that he's a tone deaf hack.

TL;DR- for the love of God, David, shut the fuck up. You're literally the meme.
