Evanescence will be cooking up new material before the end of the year, according to a Sept. 15 interview with Fernanda Soldateli of 89 FM A Rádio Rock at Brazil’s Rock In Rio festival.
Bandleader Amy Lee responded to a question about the band’s upcoming plans, saying they were planning to enter the studio in November.
“We're in the creative process right now, but we're not deep in the throes of it yet,” Lee said. “We've been doing a lot of creating and we just have tons of ideas. So we're gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round. Round one.”
The band’s most recent album, The Bitter Truth (2021), was their first in five years at the time.
Evanescence recently wrapped up a successful Latin American tour, including the most-attended headline show of their career at Allianz Parque in Sāo Paulo, according to Blabbermouth. They begin their North American tour next week at Louder Than Life 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky.
