Ian Watkins, former Lostprophets singer and prolific sex criminal, has been killed in a knife attack at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. No word yet on the other inmate's condition though we wish him the best.
Ian Watkins was sentenced to 29 years in prison for sex crimes against children including but not limited to conspiracy to rape a child, possessing child pornography, and three counts of sexual assault involving children. He was also in a band but who gives a goddamn fuck. There are certain crimes, certain actions, that necessitate the complete and utter wiping of someone's artistic career from the face of the earth. This is one of those circumstances. Nothing has changed in the wake of his death, I anticipate this is the last time we will ever mention him or his band. He was a deep, dark, inky black stain on our beloved genre and we're thrilled to have him gone.
