Louder Than Life 2025 is ready to make history with its largest lineup to date. From September 18-21, the Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, KY, will host over 160 bands across six stages. This year, the festival offers milestone album celebrations, exclusive performances from genre-defining icons, and, much to Kerry King’s surprise, the return of Slayer.
Nu metal takes center stage at LTL 2025 with Rob Zombie delivering a one-night-only global exclusive performance of Astro-Creep: 2000 in its entirety to mark the album’s 30th anniversary. Deftones are also set to bring their signature atmospheric aggression on Saturday, while Kittie celebrates the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut Spit.
Dope is another band marking their milestone with a 25-year anniversary set on Friday. The newly reformed Snot will bring back some of that raw late 90’s energy to the stage on Saturday. Other nu metal heavyweights like Static-X, Spineshank, Nonpoint, and The Union Underground are also keen on reminding fans why the genre continues to leave its mark on heavy music.
Perhaps the most anticipated addition would be Slayer’s long-awaited return. The thrash gods share the headliner duty with acts like The Dilinger Escape Plan, Bring Me The Horizon, and Avenged Sevenfold.
