To call the still-developing story that is Sid Wilson's apparent dismissal from Slipknot a dumpster fire would be an offense to large flaming refuse receptacles. For those still unaware, a report from TMZ which broke on Friday night suggested that keyboardist/DJ Sid Wilson, who has been with the band since 1997, had been permanently removed from the band.
At time of publication, neither Wilson nor the band have made a public statement on the matter. The only commentary from anyone in the Slipknot camp has been from guitarist Jim Root, who has since urged fans "don't believe everything you read."
Now, Stacy Thomson, wife of Root's co-axeman Mick Thomson, has offered her own comments on the matter, slipping in a reference to the Matthew Broderick vehicle Ferris Bueller's Day Off in for good measure.
In an Instagram story, Stacy wrote:
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Quality of John Hughes' 1986 classic to one side, this situation is only getting muddier as the hours turn to days. This is still a developing story, and we will be updating things as needed.
