Nominees for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced, and those of us in the nu world have something to look forward to with two of the biggest artists in the genre getting nods. Evanescence and Linkin Park are both up for the Best Rock VMA at the 2025 ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, September 7th.
Evanescence have been nominated for this award two other times, in 2020 and 2021. They also have two Best Rock Video nominations to their name (2003 & 2004), with "Bring Me To Life" earning a Best New Artist in a Video nomination in 2003.
Linkin Park have four VMAs and seventeen nominations under their belts, though their most recent win was back for Best Rock Video in 2008 with "Shadow of the Day."

The 2025 MTV VMAs will air on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+ on Sunday, September 7th at 8pm EST. Fan voting for all awards runs through Friday, September 5th, and can be done at vote.mtv.com.
