New Callous Daoboys Merch May Be Teasing The Next Album Cycle

A tour-exclusive merch offering might have the answer to what TCD4 has in store.

After the release of "Gigantic Parasitic Tongue" last month, the buzz around The Callous Daoboys' next album has been palpable throughout the metal world. The Atlanta sextet are about to embark on a run with The Acacia Strain, in amidst their already stacked touring slate for this year, and a piece of merch on that aforementioned TAS supporting gig might shed some light on TCD4.

One of the exclusive pieces of merch bears a church signboard with the phrase "Will God Forgive Us?" Another mockup shows the phrases "A New Dark Age Approaches," "What Will You Do With Yours?" and "Immortalize Yourself Now."

Check out the designs below:

What will this mean for the as-yet-unnamed fourth album from the band? It was reported around the time of "Gigantic Parasitic Tongue" releasing that frontman Carson Pace has only written about 20% of the new record. One line from the new song does tie into piety and religious imagery in particular: "So I'll fuck my knees with concrete / And beg to be severed by sparks that I serve." Another humdinger comes in the bridge: "I saw it in your eyes / Like a broken light / Didn't even call / To sing 'Amazing Grace.'"

Be it a commentary on the bastardization of religion in this anti-information age or something completely different, we know that The Callous Daoboys are going to bring it with whatever comes next.

Their previous studio album I Don't Want To See You In Heaven is out now on MNRK Heavy. Check out our review here, as well as where it ranked on last year's list of the best nu metal albums.

The band also helped out with The Frst's new song "Bvllet" last week.
