"Genre-fluid" Nashville indie alt-rockers The Frst (pronounced "first") have joined forces with Atlanta's own genre-bending numetalcore mavericks The Callous Daoboys for their latest single, "Bvllets." In particular, Daoboys lead singer Carson Pace lends his vocal stylings to the track, bouncing between straight-ahead clean singing and the guttural lower end of his distorted register with characteristic ease. Project mastermind Mikei Gray shows similar versatility while also serving up some digitized menace to go along with the strain of electronicore that runs through the track.

The band, which currently includes bassist Laure Marie, took to social media to share the meaning behind the new track:

Conceived to have a constantly evolving roster of collaborators (hence there being no "i" in "Frst"), the band's recent output includes songs with Dropout Kings and Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed.
On May 10th, fans can see The Frst live in Nashville supporting Catalonian alt-metal veterans ANKOR. The following month, on June 19th, the band will headline a show in Memphis. Finally, in July, they'll perform alongside post-hardcore heavy hitters FieldHockey and alternative/punk rock hybrid Hexproof. Tickets and additional info available here.
Meanwhile, The Callous Daoboys have a whole slew of tours lined up, including their current trek supporting Arm's Length on their There's A Whole World…Tour; their just-announced tour with The Acacia Strain, Fromjoy, and Mask; and opening for electronicore legends Enter Shikari.
