UK nu metallers Profiler, last seen on the hunt for a new drummer after the departure of Brad Ratcliffe, have released a new song, "Notions". The track is serving as a single heralding the February 17th, 2025 release of the deluxe edition of their debut A Digital Nowhere, which came out February 16th of this year.
A Digital Nowhere (Deluxe Edition) will feature four new tracks, all tagged on to the end of the 10-song original release. They are titled "Constricted", "Fakers", and "Depth Perception".
"Notions" explodes out of a heavily digitized smog of DJ scratches and blown-out drums, sounding like something off Spawn: The Album. Mike Evans' vocals howl from deep the mix, like a glimmer of soul trapped in a haunted computer. It's got big remix energy, feeling more like the kind of track that plays over the credits of a Underworld movie than closing out an album--but this is the Deluxe edition, so those rules don't apply. I'm good though--A Digital Nowhere is such a great record, four tracks that didn't make the original release are fine by me while we wait for a new drummer and some new songs.
In the meantime, check out "Notion" below.
