German industrial/nu metal band Rammstein have released an exclusive new mix of their 1997 hit "Spiel mit mir," and it has been released digitally today. The song is a part of the remastered "Sehnsucht Anniversary Edition," which will be released on June 6th.
The new mix of "Spiel mit mir" will also be released on a limited edition white 7" vinyl with the band's popular single "Du hast" on May 17th. Fans can pre-order the vinyl starting today. To accompany the pre-order launch, a remastered 4k Hi-res version of the "Du hast" music video will be available to watch.
The "Du hast" music video was groundbreaking when it was released in 1997, and it remains one of the band's most popular videos, with over 500 million views. The band has now remastered the video for everyone on YouTube. The remastered version of the video was made using the original film rolls.
Rammstein's second album, Sehnsucht, was released in August of 1997 and propelled the band to international fame. "Du hast" became a hit single in the US and Canada, with the band reaching the Top 20 in the US and the Top 2 in Canada.
To this day, "Spiel mit mir," "Du hast," and other songs from Sehnsucht remain staples of Rammstein's live shows.
