Slipknot Planning 25th Anniversary Tour For Self-Titled

Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor may have accidentally revealed the band's plans for 2024, hinting that they are working on a 25th-anniversary tour for their Roadrunner Records self-titled debut.

“Next year, I know we are talking about doing a handful of shows all over the world because it’s going to be the 25th anniversary of the first album,” Taylor let slip in an interview with Chaoszine, as transcribed by Blabbermouth.

“Don’t quote me on that. Best way to make God laugh is to announce your plans out loud, but that’s what we’re hinting at.”

The 1999 self-titled made the nine-piece band a household name, and included popular tracks such as “Wait and Bleed,” “Spit It Out,” and “Eyeless.” Given that only a few of the songs from that album have made it into their setlists in recent years, it will be interesting to see if they plan on playing the album front to back, or if they’ll make it a “Greatest Hits” style tour.
