Nominees have been announced for Canada’s 2025 Juno Awards, with some nu heavy-hitters poised to bring home the Canadian bacon.
Kittie and Spiritbox both landed entries in the Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year category for their respective records Fire and The Fear of Fear. Spiritbox is also up for Group of the Year as presented by SiriusXM Canada.
Other entries for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year include releases from Anciients, Devin Townsend and Striker.
Additionally, occasional rap rockers Sum 41, who are also nominated for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year with their record Heaven :x: Hell, will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the event, and will be performing their final live show.
The ceremony, hosted by certified nu metal legend Michael Bublé, will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on March 30. The full list of nominees can be found here. The event will be streamed live at http://cbcmusic.ca/junos and on CBC’s YouTube channel.
Spiritbox will be on stages across Europe and North America this year.
