The coming year could be a banner one for Spiritbox, as the band are nominated for a Best Metal Performance Grammy for “Cellar Door.” Beginning in February 2025 and again in June, the band will be touring Europe, performing at festivals including Rock am Ring in Germany and Download Festival in the UK. They will also be one of many acts supporting Linkin Park on their reunion tour. As if that wasn’t enough, the Canadian outfit have announced their second studio album, along with another song from the follow-up to 2021’s Eternal Blue.
Tsunami Sea will drop on March 7, 2025 via Pale Chord Records, the band’s own imprint, in partnership with Rise Records. Dan Braustein and guitarist Mike Stringer produced the album, with mixing handled by Zakk Cervini and mastering by Ted Dansen.
Where the LP's leadoff single “Soft Spine"was crushing and vindictive, “Perfect Soul” is a much different offering. Though plenty heavy, “Perfect Soul” is a melodic tune with a chugging, syncopated guitar line underneath Courtney LaPlante’s coaxing, inviting vocals. The chorus is textbook melodic metalcore with vocal harmonies and powerful riffing.
The track listing for Tsunami Sea is as follows:
1. Fata Morgana
2. Black Rainbow

4. Keep Sweet
5. Soft Spine
6. Tsunami Sea
7. A Haven With Two Faces
8. No Loss, No Love
