Nostalgia seems to be the name of the game when it comes to the alternative music world as Warped Tour announced last year that it’ll be returning to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Rather than a countrywide tour, it’ll be a run of shows over the summer-fall season in three cities: Orlando, FL; Long Beach, CA; and Washington DC.
Since January 27th, there’s been a continuous rollout of artist announcements for each date, set to end on February 26th. So far, the lineup boasts an equal number of familiar and fresh faces, so it seems as though the tour’s looking to cater to as many folks as possible.
Along with Vended, who will be playing at the Orlando and Long Beach dates, nu metal contemporaries Fever 333 have been announced for all three stops, while Silly Goose are listed for Washington and Long Beach. Also appearing at select dates will be Letlive, Jason of Fever 333's original band, who have announced their farewell tour. One massive surprise was Avril Lavigne, making her Warped Tour debut exclusively at the Washington DC date.
Though it might be a little disappointing for some that it’s not going to be a travelling tour like the good old days, it’s still shaping up to be quite the promising turnout.
As far as tickets go, Long Beach and Washington DC are completely sold out, but Orlando still has some available here!
