In a surprising move, Nuclear Blast Records have announced that they are leaving X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, June 14th.

Anyone who's been paying even a modicum of attention to social media or sociopolitical trends would be able to tell you what a dumpster fire that Twitter has become as of late, particularly since man scorned Elon Musk bought the platform back in 2023. While folks have been leaving Twitter en masse for platforms such as Bluesky, this is a particularly big jump, as Nuclear Blast is one of the foremost independent labels in all of metal.
Larger labels may not follow suit, but enough of the so-called "little guys" jumping ship may be enough of a paradigm shift to have a lasting effect on the social media aspect of the music industry, oversaturated and chaotic though it may be.
As far as the nu world goes, Nuclear Blast currently hosts a number of newer bands, supergroups, and legacy acts, including Cavalera, Fear Factory, Fit For An Autopsy, Go Ahead And Die, Machine Head, Marilyn Manson, Ministry, Rob Zombie, Sepultura, and Soulfly.
