The band's highly anticipated first full length album, the self-titled Paledusk, will be coming out on November 26th via A.S.A.B. They have decided to treat us to a new song a few weeks early in the form of the thunderous "I ♡ YOU BABY!!". As the title suggests, this is the most aggressive love song I've ever heard in my life. Starting at a level 10, the track doesn't stray from the highest level of intensity, even when there is a shift in the energy towards the end. While it may slow down in speed, the ferocity stays the same throughout, grabbing the attention of listeners and never letting go. There is not a dull moment to be found during the almost two and a half minute run time.
In typical Paledusk fashion, this song is all over the place in terms of their musical inspirations, but that's what we've come to expect and love most about the band. Like the rest of their catalog, they aim to take listeners on a roller coaster ride. There's a combination of vicious screaming, growling, and rapping, blazing guitars, vehement drumming, a nasty breakdown, and even some electronic elements showcased in this track. They've had a monumental 2025 so far, from collaborating with fellow Japanese artists in ONE OK ROCK and Chico Carlito to create "C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y", the current theme song for AEW wrestler Kazuchika Okada, to having their song "HUGs" used as the first opening song for the hot new anime Gatchiakuta. They're looking to continue their tremendous momentum and end the year with a bang.
Paledusk is seriously one of the most unique bands I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and I'm stoked to check out the new album when it releases.
