French nu metal / hardcore hybrids Rise of the Northstar are on the verge of a new album, as Chapter 04: Red Falcon Super Battle! Neo Paris War!! is due out next month via Reigning Phoenix Music. Resurrection Fest has been posting up clips of the band's appearance at the 2023 event, and the latest clip sees RotNS bring it with "Welcame (Furyo State of Mind)."
The track, which comes from the band's 2014 debut album Welcame, brings plenty of bounce and groove to a heavy anthem, immediately provoking memories of Anthrax and Public Enemy's take on "Bring tha Noize" or the gang vocal-laden hardcore punk scene of the late Eighties and early Nineties. These guys are here for a good time, not a long time, though this five-minute-plus track has a breakdown and a double-time instrumental break that sends the Viviero, Spain crowd into a frenzy, not to mention one hell of a circle pit.
