The nu-industrial true crime duo that is SKYND have had a relatively quiet 2025, releasing only one single in "Aileen Wuornos" last March. The duo, comprised of producer Father and the namesake singer, will be trekking across Europe this spring on their "Dead Serious" tour, and ahead of it, a previously-unreleased song is set to finally get a studio treatment.
"Mary Bell" is about the English girl who killed two boys in Scottwood, a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1968. She was convicted of two counts of manslaughter and spent years in prison until her release in 1980, after which she was granted anonymity via court order, a luxury which has since been afforded to her descendants.
The song is set to be released on Friday, January 30th, as revealed in a new teaser posted to the band's socials:
Fan footage of the song's first live performance back in December 2019 has since resurfaced, with the song featuring trap-style beats and SKYND supplying some pseudo-rapping, all with a nursery rhyme interpolation for some extra unnerving. Check it out below:
