Slipknot Premiere New Music Video For "Scissors"

Slipknot's debut album is the gift that keeps on giving.

In conjunction with the 25th anniversary edition of Slipknot releasing today (September 5th), the band have unveiled a music video for the eight minute long banger "Scissors". The footage is taken from the 1999 video documentary Welcome to Our Neighborhood which followed Slipknot on the Ozzfest tour that year, as well as including music videos and interviews. Part one was released a few weeks ago on August 21st, and this new music video gives us a glimpse into the second part which will hopefully be made available online soon.

The music video exhibits live footage of the band performing at big outdoor festivals, as well as more intimate indoor venues. Slipknot's eccentric stage presence we've all come to know and love is on full display, such as a shot that shows Sid Wilson jumping from the balcony into the pit below, or spit (possibly even bile) dripping from the mouth of Shawn "Clown" Crahan. There are also clips included of Sid Wilson, Jim Root, and Chris Fehn just doing weird and vulgar shit in an open area surrounded by trees. The camerawork is shaky with rapid-fire cuts between shots, and some parts are sped up to make the band members movements look unnatural and inhuman, matching the vibe that the album creates.

There's also a shot of Paul Gray signing a fan's Adidas shoe, which is so very nu metal.
