Nu-doom outfit King Woman are retaking the stage in March for their longest run of performances since 2022. Bay-area vocalist Kris Esfandiari—who formed the band as a solo project in 2009 before joining forces with guitarist Peter Arensdorf and drummer Joey Raygoza—posted five West Coast dates set for the last week of next month, with more to follow.

King Woman is one of Esfandiari's several musical outlets, which also include a shoegaze project (Miserable), an elusive hip-hop moniker (Dalmatian), and an industrial DJ alias (NGHTCRWLR). King Woman featured last year on Chicago hardcore contingent Harm's Way's latest album Common Suffering, making it Esfandiari's newest known heavy music venture since Relapse Records released King Woman's sophomore album Celestial Blues to critical acclaim in 2021.
