Slipknot Announces Small Venue California Show

Slipknot have just revealed what their "one night only" billboard is referring to: they'll be playing a surprise show on April 25 at Pappy + Harriet's in Pioneertown, CA.

The show was announced on their website youcantkillme.com earlier today, with tickets going on sale shortly afterwards. Even with such short notice and tickets limited to 2 per person, the 350-cap venue sold out in just under ten minutes.

Not only is this a rare opportunity to see the band in such an intimate venue, it will be their first performance since parting ways with long-time drummer Jay Weinberg. Those lucky enough to catch tickets will be the first to see how their new drummer fits with the rest of the band before their headlining performance at Sick New World this weekend.

Slipknot has specified that ticket sales from this event will be donated to charity saying :

All ticket proceeds go to Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter (@morongobasinhumanesociety) and BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of the Hi Desert (@byc_hidesert)
Pappy + Harriet’s will match Slipknot’s donation up to $5000- 50/50 to BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of the Hi Desert + Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter
