All due respect to Kneecap and their subversive ways, but sonically speaking, USvsTHEM just might be the successors to Rage Against The Machine. Their socially conscious brand of nu metal is fiery, confrontational, and downright infectious, as evidenced by their latest diatribe against the upper crust, "Met Gala."
Make no mistake, this track is going to rub folks the wrong way. Frontman Emilio Rojas name-drops every oligarch in the zeitgeist and wishes the worst upon them. This isn't a call to action or a song of unity, this is a pissed-off rager that wants blood. Musically, it feels like if Rage never broke up and messed around with more harsh vocals. The bass groove burrows into the consciousness as Rojas and Desmadre's Los lay waste to the lifestyles of the rich and famous.
