'WrestleMania' Saturday's Main Event Has Machine Head For Its Theme Music

"Sail Into The Black" is the musical backdrop for the heated triple threat confrontation.

WrestleMania is upon us, with the two-night spectacular bringing grandeur, action, and spectacle to Las Vegas over Easter weekend. Among the marquee matches for the show is a triple threat showdown which will headline Saturday’s proceedings, with Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins facing off in a match with over a decade of story leading up to it.

An epic encounter needs an epic soundtrack, and Machine Head have provided just that with their song “Sail Into The Black.” The song, from the band’s 2014 effort Bloodstone & Diamonds, is an eight-and-a-half minute epic from the groove metal legends, an ominous anthem. It is surprisingly restrained for the band, at least for the first segment, which is highlighted by chant-singing and a melodic acoustic guitar section. Rhys Fulber (ex-Fear Factory, et al) arranges strings and further production on the song, making for a weighty hymn of perseverance in the face of neverending strife.

This promo comes ahead of the band’s upcoming album Unatoned, which drops next Friday, April 25th via Nuclear Blast Records. The album will be the band’s fourth on the label, with the aforementioned Bloodstone & Diamonds having been their first release through Nuclear Blast.
