Leeds alt-rock quartet Artio have embarked on a tour of their native England in support of their debut LP Babyface, and a year and some change after that disc’s release, they’ve posted a set online for their small but rabid fanbase to enjoy. For the uninitiated, Artio is committed to music about the queer and trans experience, with singer Rae Brazill being open about their own experiences, including their recent top surgery.
Rounding out the line-up are drummer/programmer Ieuan Jones, as well as guitarists Robert Arkle and Jai Akhurst. Jones produced Babyface, while Gavin McGrath mixed the album. They are currently signed to Slam Dunk Records.
On March 7th at the O2 Kentish Forum in London, the band opened for Vukovi on their My God Has Got A Gun tour, and their set ran as follows:
- Sertraline
- Head In The Sand, Finger On The Trigger
- Basement Dance
- Babyface
- Product Of My Own Design
- Pyrokid
Artio have a couple of dates slated for the rest of the year, including headlining the Oslo Festival in May and playing Download Festival in June.
