Cheem have a lot of fans here at The Nu Metal Agenda and if their recent singles are any indication, that's unlikely to change any time soon. Their newest track, "Quench," the fourth single from their upcoming album Power Moves, finds the band taking on elements of electronic-tinged reggae with assistance from Virginia screamo outfit pulses.
For anyone who's followed the band, it should come as no surprise that they make it sound absolutely effortless. What's most striking about the track is how this stylistic shift plays to the band's strengths. The muscular bass work, the sweet harmonies, the angular turn in the bridge–all work in service of a vibe that plays like a 22nd century 311 in the best way possibly.
