This band doesn't miss. Chevelle, comprised of brothers Pete Loeffler (Vocals, Guitars) and Sam Loeffler (Drums) with longstanding touring member Kemble Walters have just released their new single, "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)” with an accompanying lyric video. The track ebbs and flows with catchy guitar riffs, seamless transitions, Pete Loeffler's soaring vocal delivery, and and a punching bridge that feels like a natural progression from N.I.R.A.T.I.A.S.
On the release of the track, Chevelle stated, "How about we all put on our tinfoil hats, slam a Dunkies, and go deep doomscrolling. If that sounds like your sorta thing, we've got a new song for you called 'Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)'. Enjoy." Lyrically, this hits the track on the mark. The theme is very clearly a mirror to the ever online brain poisoned discourse more and more people are steeped in on a daily basis. "Come in/ Is it evidence clashing with confidence/ Don’t give em an inch/ It’s just words/ Are you meddling to catfish the government/The final abyss." This is again, a progression from the previous album where fans can note that several of the songs on N.I.R.A.T.I.A.S. tackled subjects like the first Trump administration in, "Peach," and pulled influence from Elon Musk's science fiction claims for the future of his space exploration in, "Mars Simula."
Chevelle has also announced a headlining tour featuring Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society as supporting acts. The tour is set to kick off on April 20 in Palm Springs, CA, and will take the bands across the United States, hitting major cities and festival locations along the way.
