Dreamcatcher's Siyeon To Front And Produce ChRocktikal, Debut Album Coming Soon

The main vocalist for "the face of rock in K-pop" has a new project premiering later this month.

Last year, K-pop group Dreamcatcher announced that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus, stressing that the group would not be splitting up permanently. While its members have gone on to launch solo projects, namely the group's rapper Dami with her first single "Chequered Flag," the band's main vocalist Siyeon, who herself has notched success with her solo singles "Paradise" and "Start Over, has a new band ready for action.

ChRocktikal is a four-piece, consisting of vocalist/producer Siyeon, bassist Lee Jun Young, drummer Je Gwan Woo, and producer/guitarist Lee Won Seok. Their debut was announced last month, and their first album is coming even sooner than expected, with January 15th to be the street date for We Break, You Awake.

Today, concept photos for the release have dropped, setting the tone for what is to come. Pre-orders for the album are live now at various outlets, including Dreamcatcher's own web store, with the album set to drop on Thursday, January 15th in the East and Friday, January 16th in the West. While no tracklist is available at this time, this is a developing story given how soon the release is coming.
