Melbourne-based Sri Lankan singer/songwriter/rapper Ecca Vandal has just released the music video for her newest single, "VERTICAL WORLDS." The boisterous new track is the latest single from LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW, the long-awaited, highly anticipated follow-up to her 2017 self-titled debut. The album arrives Friday, May 22nd, via Loma Vista.

For the music video, Vandal and her co-director/bassist/partner Kid Not (aka Richie Buxton) highlight the track's infectious energy by employing an array of drummers—all fans who'd posted drum covers over Vandal's songs to social media—to tear through the track alongside Vandal and her drummer Dan Maio. The footage was shot in L.A., and Buxton "edited most of the footage in dressing rooms and the back of the van while we were on tour with Deftones over the last couple of weeks." The result, much like the song, is deceptively simple and surprisingly effective.
In celebration of the new album, Ecca Vandal and her band will return to the UK/Europe for a headlining tour throughout the month of September. Pre-sale goes live Wednesday, May 20th, at 9am local time. Fans can sign up for the mailing list to receive access. General sale for tickets begins Friday, May 22nd, at 9am local time.
Leading up to the LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW Tour, the band will perform at several summer festivals, including Rock im Park, Pinkpop, and Lollapalooza. On August 23rd, the band will join Interpol, Deafheaven, IDLES, and headliners Deftones at All Points East.
