Mimi Barks is a groundbreaking artist from Berlin, Germany, calling her signature style "doom-trap." It's gritty, it's unnerving, but oddly captivating, which can also be said for her latest single and music video "Jericho." Dark metal, trap beats, and hard-hitting hooks are the foundation which this Jericho is built upon, with Barks' vocals going from soul-rending screams to belting out at a moment's notice.
Says Barks on the new song:
"What looks like collapse is really release, an undoing of everything that was never truly mine. There's no real enemy unless you choose to become one to yourself. The shift happens when the self remembers itself, when the energy turns inward and transforms. The old world dissolves making space for something unknown. That's where freedom begins. What will you choose? Heaven or Hell?"

This song appears on Barks' upcoming EP Dreamstate Of Hell, which releases on July 24th via her own imprint Deathkiss Records. She just wrapped up her first-ever tour of the US, and will be heading overseas to Europe and the UK this summer for festival appearances, as well as shows supporting King 810 and WARGASM.
