The early 2000s are back, baby!
Netflix’s Devil May Cry adaptation is set to release on Thursday, April 3rd, and the nostalgia is already strong. Limp Bizkit’s iconic “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” has been revealed as the opening theme song for the animated series, and if that wasn’t nu metal enough for this interpretation of the hit action game franchise from the turn of the millennium, Evanescence have you covered.
The band has released a teaser for a new song “Afterlife,” which will be featured on the show’s soundtrack. The clip gives off vibes of the band’s later work, particularly their self-titled album, with a driving chorus and Amy Lee’s powerful vocals front and center.
“Afterlife” will get a lyric video this Thursday, March 27th, at 9am PST / noon EST. The video will feature clips from the to-be-released series.
Evanescence will play a couple of stateside shows this year, alongside Halsey in May and My Chemical Romance in September, before embarking on an Australia and New Zealand tour in November.
