Nu metal veterans Adema, known for their 2001 hits “Giving In” and “The Way You Like It,” are reportedly putting the finishing touches on their first album in almost 20 years, set to release through their new home at Worldwide Entertainment Group (WEG) via Cleopatra Records, according to Blabbermouth.

Fans got a taste of Cruel Machine with singles in 2021 and 2022 respectively; “Ready to Die” and “Violent Principles” are expected to appear on the album, which at the times of the singles’ releases was tentatively called 360 Degrees of Separation.

Bassist and backup vocalist Dave DeRoo commented on the band’s new deal.

“We're excited to join forces with Worldwide Entertainment Group and have Dave Lory and Sandy Rizzo in our corner. We have known Sandy for over 20 years when we worked with her during our first few years as a band, and it's great to be united! Excited for what the future holds!”

Lory and Rizzo also commented on their excitement to have the band at WEG.

“It's all about a new chapter for Adema. We are all very excited to be a part of it.”

Rizzo added:

“I'm inspired to be involved in this phase of Adema’s career. They have a passion for the music they create, and it's special to be a part of.”

Engineer and producer David Gnozzi, host of Mixbus TV on YouTube, has been tapped to mix Cruel Machine.

The new album will feature longtime guitarist Tim Fluckey returning to the role of frontman, which he previously occupied on the 2013 EP Topple the Giants. Ryan Shuck of Orgy and Julien-K had stepped into the vocalist role for Adema in 2019, but split with the group in 2024.

Fluckey told Heavy in 2025 that the band all understood on some level Shuck’s time with them would be temporary.

“[Shuck] had another band, so it was always going to be temporary,” Fluckey said. “Then when it came down to making a decision about moving on, we were getting offered record deals at the time, so they were like, ‘Do you wanna sing again?’ I go, ‘Yeah, let's do it. We don't need to bring anybody else in here.’”

Fluckey also assured fans the new music will be just the way they like it.

“Obviously it's going to evolve a little bit, but it's not far from our first two or three records, so I think Adema fans will be into it,” Fluckey said. “Everybody brings their own kind of special thing to the band that made it sound like Adema back then, and I think that's back in the band now.”

Adema is currently on a U.S. tour supporting Powerman 5000 and will begin a tour of the United Kingdom supporting Soil and Finger Eleven in the fall.
