Eminem Apologizes to Limp Bizkit on New Song "Guilty Conscience 2"

Basically, in the tangled web woven by late 90s rap beef, Limp Bizkit got caught up trying to diss Everlast alongside Eminem, who was beefing with the ex-House of Pain rapper. Then DJ Lethal popped up on MTV claiming Everlast would beat Eminem's ass in a fight.

Feels like just yesterday Eminem was sitting next to Carson Daly and Fred Durst, listening to them argue over who she gave head to first. But after a productive friendship that found the two in the studio together during the Significant Other era led to a collaboration song that was teased on MTV and eventually scrapped for unknown reasons (not that you can't find it around), things went south.

Considering DJ Lethal was formerly in House of Pain with Everlast, there's some logic to him siding with Everlast; however, Eminem took significant umbridge to this as they were supposed to be dissing Everlast together. Thus, "Girls."

"Girls" is Eminem's all out assault on DJ Lethal ("weasel"), Fred Durst ("corny") and Limp Bizkit. From what I can tell Fred never fired back and mostly let the beef die from there (save a quick reference on "Love the Hate" from 2021's Still Sucks).

And so we arrive at "Guilty Conscience 2," from the just released Death of Slim Shady album, on which Eminem takes his alter ego Slim Shady to task for his history of antisocial behavior, part of which involves issuing a quick apology to some of his past targets, Limp Bizkit included.

Does this mean a collaboration is imminent?? No. But I guess it's nice to know that's in the past now. Score one for the angry white boys TRL hath wrought.
