ICYMI: mgk & Fred Durst's "fix ur face" Is The Theme For WWE SummerSlam

The collab, released back in April, is the soundtrack for the biggest party of the summer.

Observant fans of WWE's flagship show Monday Night RAW will have noticed that one of the official theme songs for this year's SummerSlam is "fix ur face," the polarizing new nu track from mgk and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. This was revealed as early as the June 5th edition of SmackDown, but after the song played in the background of an ad read for the summer spectacular on last night's RAW, fans were abuzz on social media.

This year's event takes place on the weekend of August 1st and 2nd in Minneapolis, MN, and already has the following matches confirmed:

  • Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky
  • Hell in a Cell: Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Oba Femi
  • World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

This marks the first time that Limp Bizkit has been featured on WWE television in some time, after the ejection of one Fred Durst at the 2012 SummerSlam. We are still pushing for the band to go into the WWE Hall of Fame someday, and perhaps this featuring of Durst at one of their biggest premium live events will go some ways into making that dream a reality.

Machine Gun Kelly has had a dubious history with WWE, performing at WrestleMania 28 in 2012 and later being powerbombed by Kevin Owens on a June 2015 episode of RAW. Based on some of his recent comments, particularly those made on Garza Podcast, it stands to reason that some are hoping that Owens returns from his neck injury soon enough for a repeat performance.
