Update: At 5:20 PM EST, Deryck Whibley and Sum 41 one shared an Instagram post with the text stating: “TUNE IN WEDNESDAY MORNING DERYCK WHIBLEY ANNOUNCEMENT,” which appears to coincide with when Linkin Park’s semi-ambiguous timer will expire. This has many speculating that Whibley will indeed be the vocalist (or one of them??) annointed to join Linkin Park for a presumed comeback.
Linkin Park has posted a countdown on their Instagram account. The countdown started at 100.00.00, and has counted down in the first column since, meaning the announcement should land sometime Wednesday morning.
Now Welcome To Rockville has hosed down the fire with gasoline by sharing the countdown. When you consider that they recently posted "can't wait to share the 2025 lineup", it's easy to connect the dots into a soldier with dragonfly wings.
Welcome to Rockville, a major United States rock music festival in Florida, has shared the Linkin Park countdown. The festival recently also posted that they “can’t wait to share the 2025 lineup” with fans. 👀 pic.twitter.com/dkvl5CGCfG

The band and the organizations invested in them have been recently active, some of which related to the buildup to and release of a 4K upgrade of the "Bleed It Out" video.
Speculation is wild--especially in certain corners of the Nu Metal Agenda--with the great hope being the announcement of a reunion tour. This would ideally involve the inclusion of someone both exciting and spiritually suited to assuming the mantle of the late Chester Bennington, however temporarily. Bennington died in 2017.
Nu Metal Agenda is committed to watching this space. We have a whole team on it--one solely staring at the countdown, another with their fingers on the keyboard ready to type up the news, and the third monitoring the power grid in the event of an outage. A fourth is in charge of food and subbing in for bathroom breaks. Your job is to keep an eye on this page.
