Rina Sawayama Calls Out Matty Healy While Performing Korn's "Blind"

Singer, actress, and all around badass Rina Sawayama called out The 1975’s Matty Healy this weekend at Glastonbury over comments the singer made in February, in the most nu metal way possible: by covering two of the genre’s most historic tracks.

Korn’s 1994 classic “Blind” was used as the intro to her 2020 track “STFU!,” which Sawayama dedicated to Healy saying “This goes out to a white man that watches Ghetto Gaggers and mocks Asian people on a podcast. He also owns my masters. I’ve had enough.” To make it even more apparent Sawayama has “had enough,” she ended the track with a cover of Limp Bizkit’s iconic 1999 anthem, “Break Stuff.”

While it has not yet been widely reported that Healy owns her master recordings, he was formerly a director at Dirty Hit, the label both Sawayama and The 1975 are signed to. It was reported that he stepped down from that role this past April.
