SoCal nu metallers P.O.D. have unveiled a surprising new track, as they have covered The Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down." The John Lennon-penned song first released in 1969 as a B-side to the single "Get Back," with Lennon reportedly telling wife Yoko Ono that he was letting his guard down with the song.
Guitarist Marcos Curiel shared his perspective on the cover, stating:
"As cliché as it may sound, we've always admired The Beatles from the very beginning of our songwriting journey. Their melodies, the hooks, and fearless experimentation inspired us to craft our own take on the classic 'Don't Let Me Down,' with nothing but the utmost respect. Thank you for helping lay the foundation of what we all know today as rock 'n' roll, pop, and metal."
