Battlefield 6 has rolled out its Season 2 update as of February 17th, bringing with it a refreshed selection of rock and metal tracks that give a pretty blatant homage to the nu metal scene. The update introduces additional licensed music through a dedicated radio station available to players who purchase the Battlefield Pro pass, allowing them to listen while driving or operating vehicles during gameplay.
Among the newly added songs are several recognizable staples from nu metal legends. Slipknot’s "Duality," Papa Roach’s "Last Resort," Limp Bizkit’s "Rollin (Air Raid Vehicle)," and Silly Goose’s "Cowboy" headline the latest additions, culminating in a veritable mixtape for any stalwart fan of low tuned riffs and rap rock sensibilities.
The Season 2 rollout builds on the musical foundation established during Season 1, which already featured a mix of hard rock, industrial, and alternative artists. Previous inclusions ranged from Godsmack and Drowning Pool to Pantera, Filter, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Prodigy, helping shape the game’s identity through a soundtrack rooted in high energy riffs, bouncing hooks, and cathartic aggression.
