Slipknot and Welcome Skateboards Join Forces On New Collection

Metal juggernauts Slipknot have teamed together with skateboard brand Welcome to create a new collection consisting of two skate decks, four distinct T-shirt designs, two different hoodies, a baseball cap, and even a water bottle. All of the merchandise stays within the color palette of black, red, lime green, purple, tan, and even includes a couple of camo patterned items. Slipknot aren't new to the skateboard game, as they released their own skate decks earlier this year.

One of the decks comes in the classic oval shape, with one side sporting the Slipknot logo in lime green, white, and black, and the other side is fully lime green with the Slipknot era barcode in black. The other deck available showcases a horned goat with a crow plucking out one of the eyeballs on the underside, while the top boasts the signature Slipknot 'S' in bright lime green with bloody red accents on top of the black. It's very Iowa-esque.

Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) is also represented in this collection, with one of the hoodies featuring the special edition album cover. However, one of the shirts stands out because it is a mix of eras. The tan shirt has the lyrics "I won't give up tomorrow just to lose it all today" from the All Hope Is Gone special edition track "Child of Burning Time", but the pictures of the band members are from their current lineup.

The promotional video displays the items in action, and adding the kegs as a nod to the beer-container-turned-instrument used by Clown was a nice touch.
