A new update to the horror video game Dead By Daylight allows players to dress their characters like members of Slipknot, as the iconic masks worn by eight of Slipknot's members have now been added to the game.
These masks are available for seven members: vocalist Corey Taylor, percussionists Shawn “Clown” Crahan and Michael Pfaff, guitarists Jim Root and Mick Thomson, bassist V-Man, and the yet-to-be-named keyboardist.
Players can pair the masks with custom costume options for killers in the game.
The Slipknot collection includes masks for The Wraith, The Deathslinger, The Doctor, The Clown, The Hillbilly, The Blight, and The Trapper. Additionally, there is a masked full outfit for The Legion (Frank) designer after DJ Sid Wilson.
Kirby Taylor, product manager for Dead By Daylight, was excited about bringing Slipknot's masks into the game, saying:
“Each mask carries a striking, distinct design, so a lot of our creative explorations were focused around finding which Killer was the perfect pairing. Unsurprisingly, they felt right at home in the world of Dead By Daylight.
“We’re excited to see what outfit combinations players will come up with since most of these can be mixed with existing and future cosmetics.”
The identity of Slipknot's new drummer remains a mystery, however, the band's new drummer will likely debut at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas on April 27. The new drummer's mask will not be included in this update.
